Believers have shared that they often feel isolated and lonely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The country is <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.opendoorsuk.org\/ireland\/countries-watch\/mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">number 31 on the World Watch List<\/a>, and Christians endure various forms of persecution, from bullying to total rejection by family members, neighbours and even entire communities. Many of them face extreme deprivation, without access to basic necessities such as water, electricity and education, and some have even endured imprisonment, physical assault<s>,<\/s> and public humiliation for their faith.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But local Open Doors partners are visiting these believers to encourage them with persecution survival training and legal support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Can you send a letter to our persecuted church family in Oaxaca, Chiapas, Jalisco and Nayarit? Your words of encouragement, love and prayer support can lift their spirits and strengthen their confidence in God\u2019s perfect plan!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guidelines&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please <strong>be encouraging<\/strong> and feel free to include one or two Bible verses&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show sensitivity; please <strong>do not<\/strong> dwell on the recipient\u2019s plight, share about the blessings of life in your country or your own struggles&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write in <strong>English or simple Spanish<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bible Gateway<\/a> has Spanish translations you can use to copy and paste encouraging verses, and simple phrases can be translated with <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Translate<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you can, include pictures and artwork! You can scan them or upload photos and attach them to the email.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Security&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> mention Open Doors&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> mention other religions&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> refer to Israel, even when using Scripture&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> criticise religions, religious extremists, governments, judicial systems or political leaders&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> send money or make proposals to help&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can disclose your name and the country you live in, but do not provide your full name or full address.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not<\/strong> send photographs of yourselves or anybody else.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Send to us!&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please send your encouragement to <strong>messagestomexico@opendoorsuk.org<\/strong> and we\u2019ll do the rest!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please do not send physical cards to us in the post, as we are unable to process these or send them to Mexico.
