Witness

Sharing the faith of the persecuted church

About Witness

Witness is a book which explores what it means to be a witness to Jesus, and how the way we live, and who we are, can point people to Him. In Witness, a new book and accompanying small group resource, you’ll be able to read stories of extraordinary encounters with the persecuted church, interwoven with thought-provoking biblical reflection. It’s a chance to really understand what Jesus meant in the Beatitudes, and what we can learn from our brothers and sisters who are still witnessing to the reality of those promises.

Jesus said that His disciples would be ‘brought before governors and kings as witnesses’ (Matthew 10:18) and these are people who live that out. Their willingness to share the truth about Jesus might cost them their freedom, their security, their homes, even their lives.

We can’t share their life. But we can share their faith. And, as we learn from their lives, and reflect on their faith, that will transform our own understanding of what it means to follow Jesus, and how we can communicate that to our world.

Witness is a powerful reminder of what bold faith looks like. Through the stories of the persecuted church, Eddie and Nick challenge us to live and share our faith with courage. Inspiring, humbling, and deeply moving—this book is a must-read!’ – West Midlands, Church Leader

‘Really helpful book if you want to understand what it’s like for Christians facing persecution today. It mixes real stories from persecuted Christians with Bible teaching about the Beatitudes. Shows how Jesus’s words about disciples being brought before kings is still happening now. The small group materials are good too. Makes you think about your own faith compared to Christians who risk everything to follow Jesus.

Worth getting if you care about the persecuted church or want to understand more about being a Christian witness today’. – Stephen, Open Doors Supporter
